"In a society that profits from your self-doubt, liking yourself is a rebellious act."
– Caroline Caldwell
Our Approach
Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire women to make lifestyle decisions that fuel and promote self-care and healthy well-being. Despite a saturated fitness market, there is a need for programs that encourage physical activity and wholesome eating from a place rooted in self-love rather than guilt or shame. By promoting self-acceptance, women can get to a place where they rebel against body standards, food rules, and diet culture. They choose to be the healthiest version of them, both physically and mentally, regardless of how that looks. Through extensive research, we have found that a fulfilled life revolves around healthy self-esteem, body neutrality, sustainable fitness, and intuitive eating. We want to equip women and young girls with the knowledge to stand up to social pressures, recognize their self-worth, and respect all bodies.
Our Goal
We must improve the internal dialogue of women and young girls. We aim to combat the self-criticism epidemic by reminding them that their worth and identity reach far beyond what their bodies or appearance look like. We want them to place energy in the areas of their lives that make them fulfilled – their well-being, relationships, habits, goals, careers, passions, and hobbies.
It’s time to pursue your health in a way that truly benefits you without putting you in a war against your body. #bodyrebel
Who Are "Body Rebels"?
Body Rebels are the new generation of women. The name is a reminder that we are more than our bodies and we refuse to let our appearance define our identity, value, or respect we deserve. No matter what, how we stand today is worthy of acceptance, opportunity, and a positive well-being. We reject the idea that our happiness is dependent on our weight and that being healthy is only achievable at one size as it disregards body diversity and the multifaceted concept of what health consists of. We accept that healthy looks differently on everyone.
Body Rebels don’t fit into a mold or the confinement of other people’s expectations as we are unapologetically ourselves. Through self-compassion, we engage in healthy behaviors to honor our body’s needs with movement and nourishment. Body Rebels put mental health and well-being at the forefront of any decisions made causing increased resiliency against messages challenging our self-esteem or confidence. We are modern day rebels who realize the power we hold to spark a positive change in our lives, the world, and future generations to come.
